Coconut Laddoo (नरिवलको लडडू):
This is one of the easiest mithai recipes that I’ve ever made. It takes about 15 minutes, and very few ingredients. You can even involve your kids while making this, and they will have fun making laddoos (coconut balls). You can also use different food colors while making the laddoo mix to give colorful look.
- 1 can – Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 5 cups – Desiccated Coconut or Grated Coconut (4 cups + 1 cup for rolling)
- 3 tbsp – Milk powder (optional)
- A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
Place Sweetened Condensed Milk, Milk Powder, and 4 cups of grated coconut into a thick bottomed non stick pan and mix well. Once mixed, heat the mixture in a low flame, stirring constantly, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.Cook the mixture until it starts leaving the bottom of the pan. Remove from fire. Mix the cardamom powder and let it cool. Grease your palms with ghee. Take about a table spoon full of mix and roll it into laddoos (small balls). Now roll in the reserved dry grated coconut. Laddoos are ready.
