Coconut Fudge/Burfi (नरिवलको बर्फी )

Coconut Fudge/Burfi (नरिवलको  बर्फी ) is one of the easiest sweet that can be prepared for any occasion/event, without much effort. This recipe is healthy in comparison to other sweets as it doesn’t require any sugar or frying. Made with just a few ingredients, it is economical, hassle free,  as well as less time consuming. These sweet coconut square fudge can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week.


  • 16 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 4 cups desiccated coconut (finely shredded dry coconut)
  • 2 cups low fat milk powder
  • 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)

Place ricotta cheese on microwave safe dish and microwave it for 3 mins. Add milk powder, condensed milk and mix well. Microwave it for another 5 minutes. At this point, incorporate desiccated coconut and mix well. Continue to microwave with 3 minutes interval, mixing in between, until all the liquid is absorbed and the burfi reaches desired consistency. Pour on a greased (with ghee) plate. Sprinkle some cardamom powder to give it nice aroma.  Let it cool before completely before cutting into desired shapes. Enjoy!
