As we all know, fish is among the healthiest foods on the planet. It is loaded with important nutrients, such as protein and vitamin D. Fish is also the world’s best source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are incredibly important for your body and brain. Eating fish 1-2 times per week is considered healthy and sufficient.
Along with all the benefits and good taste, fish is so easy to prepare. Here is a recipe which takes very few ingredients and about 20-30 minutes to prepare delicious baked fish. I’m using Tilapia, but you can prepare the fist of your choice.
- Tilapia – 6 fillets
- Japanese panko breadcrumbs – 3/4 cup
- Parmesan cheese finely grated – 3/4 cup
- Salt and pepper – according to taste
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- Crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly butter a baking dish. In bowl, mix together the cheese, breadcrumbs, butter, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Pat dry the fish fillets and arrange them on baking dish. Sprinkle the bread crumb and cheese mixture evenly over Tilapia, pressing lightly to coat. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if you like. Bake for about 20 minutes until Tilapia is done and flakes are golden. Serve hot.
